Renee is a fully qualified Beauty Therapist (AABTH, CIBTAC) who first trained in Sydney over twenty years ago. She found herself returning home to Wellington after her initial training, and worked here in the capital for three years. 

She realised pretty quickly that skin health  was her passion, and so chose to pursue this specialty by heading to the Steiner Academy in London to train futher in this area in 2003.

Her journey then took her onto the water, where she worked as a Beauty Therapist with Royal Carribean Cruise Ships for the next ten years.

"It's fair to say I'VE seen a lot of faces. Doing 8-10 treatments each day fOR SUCH A LONG TIME, means that I've worked with people experiencing a varied and often challenging range of concerns and issues."

After returning back to New Zealand, she spent three years working in Auckland, before returning to her Wellington roots. Since then, she's kept up with the industry locally, started a family, and brought her vision to life with the opening of SKIN by Renee Maria in 2020.

Skin by Renee Maria is a home-based skin and beauty studio, focusing on advanced skin treatments and long-lasting skin health for all ages and stages of life, experiencing all skin concerns. Using two amazing active ranges, Renee also likes to incorporate cutting-edge machines into her facials, as she believes medical-grade skincare and automated skin devices give clients the best results possible.
